RHTP State Tracker: Where Things Stand Right Now

As noted in a previous post, Minnesota was the first state to open their RHTP application. But what other states have made progress since then?

The short answer? Not many.

Minnesota remains one of the only states where hospitals and clinics can actively apply in a clear and open way. Applications are live, timelines are defined, and organizations are already moving.

North Dakota is starting to move as well, but in a more phased approach. Instead of one clear application, they are rolling out funding opportunities across different programs. There is activity, but not as straightforward as Minnesota yet.

Beyond that, most states are still building a head of steam.

States like Idaho, Montana, Nebraska, and Colorado are actively working through structure, governance, and program design. Funding is available, but it has not fully reached hospitals in a way that allows for broad application and deployment.

There are also a few states like New Jersey and Vermont that have had earlier or more targeted funding rounds. These can look like full rollout from the outside, but they are not the same as an open, ongoing application process.

The big takeaway right now is this: it is still very early for the vast majority of states. We will continue tracking how RHTP evolves across the country and share major updates as we see them.

The Vanna Mobile Medical Team will be at Becker’s Healthcare 16th Annual Meeting in Chicago next week. If you are attending and want to talk through RHTP, mobile medical, or discuss state-by-state trends, please stop by our booth—we look forward to connecting.
